Telefónica named the leader in Corporate Responsibility in Spain

Telefónica has been named the leader in Corporate responsibility in Spain by the main Spanish trade union body (UGT).

A detailed study was undertaken to review the Corporate Responsibility culture, policies and practices of the top 35 companies in Spain. 

Telefónica ranked first for the second year running, not only for the management of Corporate Responsibility issues, but also for the measurement of its performance in this area. According to UGT, Telefónica sets best practice with regards to its Corporate Responsibility management model, strategy and transparency in reporting.

The report concluded that there has been significant progress in Corporate Responsibility matters in Spain during the last year, but that many challenges still remain for all companies.
