In the UK, a reported 22% of children and young people claim to have been the target of cyberbullying, making this one of the most important new areas of behaviour to understand and to equip schools, carers and young people with the ability to respond.
'Let’s fight it together’ is a powerful film produced by Childnet for the Department for Children Schools and Families to help demonstrate young people to the pain and hurt which can be caused through cyberbullying.
The film is available online here, and after watching the film, you can watch interviews from the characters in the film describing their experiences from their different perspectives. You can also hear from Childnet’s CEO as to why this issue is so important. (Select the chapters from the navigation box on the right of the web page).
A full teachers’ guide and lesson plan has been produced by Childnet for teachers to help in the preparation of showing this film and looking at the issues of cyberbullying which the film addresses. The full guidance for schools on preventing and responding to cyberbullying which Childnet produced for the DCSF is available here.
