All suppliers working with O2 will be required to comply with the O2 Policies. A link in our supplier contracts and our standard Purchasing Terms will direct suppliers to this site where they can find the latest versions of each policy.
Business Principles
Our Business Principles inspire and define the way we carry out our business activities. By complying with these principles, we build reputation, secure the trust of our stakeholders and maximise long-term value for our shareholders and society at large. We expect our suppliers to either adopt O2’s Business Principles in full themselves or have similar principles of their own and be able to demonstrate such principles to us on reasonable request.
Quality Assurance Policy
The cost of poor quality can be significant, be it poor product quality, poor software quality and delivery or poor quality of customer management.
Our Quality Assurance policy sets out the characteristics of quality management that we would prefer to see from our suppliers.
Ethical Procurement Policy
Our policy is based on the standards adopted by the UN through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the ILO Conventions.
We reserve the right not to do business with companies where it can be demonstrated that significant violations of the policy are taking place. In particular we will not bring companies onto our supplier list where there is evidence of under-age workers; forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour; or where the supplier's workers are found to be subjected to potential life-threatening working conditions or harsh or inhumane treatment.
Environmental Procurement Policy
Our suppliers are expected to comply with all relevant local and national environmental regulations and to have programmes in place for improving environmental performance.
Health and Safety Policy
O2 is committed to the highest standards of health and safety across its business. O2 will work in partnership with its suppliers and seek to influence them in order to reduce health and safety risk in their operations through a procurement policy that is based on the principle of continuous improvement.
Security Policy (Telefónica O2 UK only)
O2 attaches particular importance to the security of its own, its employees’ and its customers’ data. It is therefore vital that existing and potential new suppliers to O2 have appropriate security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and appropriate availability of such data is not compromised and these controls are in maintained in accordance with O2’s security policies.
The reference standard for O2’s security policies is ISO27001 and the suppliers shall comply with the principles of that standard at all times.
